The index includes 25,853 names. Printed copies of the index are available for use at the following sites: Henry County Archive, Family History Center and the Genealogy Room inside the W. G. Rhea Public Library; all in Paris. The attached map shows the civil districts covered by each enumeration district.
We are dedicated to preserving family histories and the history of our county. We realize that without this concern our history would soon be lost. We gladly share research with others, create materials to assist them with their research and pledge our efforts to maintain and preserve the county's history for future generations.
The Society meets at Lee School Academy for the Arts, 402 Lee St. in Paris, Tennessee on the 3rd Monday of January, April, July and October and the public is invited.
Society membership is available annually for $15.00 per person or $25.00 per family which includes The Newsletter, the official quarterly publication of the Society. Members may submit one free query per Newsletter. Additional queries are $1.00 each. Non-members may also send queries for $1.00 each. No limit is placed on the number submitted.

“The HCGS Times” is the official publication of the Society and is published in October, January, April, and July. All materials to be included should be in the hands of the editor no later than the 1st day of October, January, April and July for inclusion in that month’s issue.
